Child Protection in Elementary Schools through the Implementation of Child-Friendly School Programs: A Literature Study

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the Child-Friendly School Program in the context of child protection in the primary education environment. The method used is a qualitative approach, with literature studies as a data collection technique, through analysis of books, journal articles both national and international, as well as policy documents related to child protection and supportive education. The findings of the analysis indicate that the implementation of the Child-Friendly School Program plays a role in creating a safe, comfortable, and violence-free learning environment, in addition to strengthening the role of teachers in building an inclusive school atmosphere. However, the success of this program is still hindered by several problems such as lack of understanding among teachers, uncertainty of policies from schools, and limited infrastructure. This research makes a significant conceptual contribution in increasing the understanding of the importance of Child-Friendly Schools as a protection approach for children at the primary school level.

Increasing the Spirit of Nationalism of Elementary School Students in the Era of Globalization

Globalization has brought significant changes to social, cultural, and educational life in Indonesia, especially in the formation of the character of the younger generation. One of the main challenges faced today is the weakening of nationalistic values among students, which is reflected in the decline in appreciation of local culture and the increasing influence of foreign lifestyles. Therefore, strengthening nationalism from an early age is very important to maintain the sustainability of national identity and social harmony. Education plays a strategic role in this process, especially at the elementary school level as the initial phase of character formation. The writing method used in this article is library research, which aims to examine the importance of fostering nationalism in elementary school students in the midst of globalization.

The Impact Of Free Nutritious Meals On Elementary School Students' Learning Concentration

The Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG) is one of the national policies that aims to support the fulfillment of nutrition for school-age children and create more conducive learning conditions. The fulfillment of good nutritional needs is expected to help increase students' learning readiness, including their ability to concentrate during the learning process. This article aims to systematically review various studies in Indonesia that discuss the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal Program and its implications for the learning concentration of elementary school students. The method used is a literature review by examining relevant Indonesian journal articles, both those that discuss the impact of MBG on concentration, learning motivation, student attendance, and implementation challenges in schools. The data source is obtained from national journals that can be accessed openly through the official website of the publisher. The results of the study showed that most studies reported a tendency to increase students' concentration and motivation to learn after the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal Program. Students are described as more prepared to follow learning, more focused, and have better participation in class. However, the effectiveness of the program is greatly influenced by the quality of implementation, such as the variety and content of the food menu, the accuracy of distribution, and the existence of a continuous monitoring system. This study concludes that the Free Nutritious Meal Program has great potential in supporting the learning concentration of elementary school students. However, most of the research is still descriptive so the cause-and-effect relationship cannot be firmly confirmed. Therefore, further research with a more rigorous design is needed to strengthen the empirical evidence regarding the effectiveness of MBG programs on learning concentration.

Character Formation of Elementary School Students in the Digital Era: Qualitative Studies in Innovative Learning

This study aims to analyze the disciplinary character of elementary school students through the implementation of innovative learning in the digital era. The development of digital technology presents both opportunities and challenges in developing student character, particularly in discipline in following rules, managing time, and being responsible for assignments. This study used a qualitative approach with a literature review and interview design. The subjects were elementary school teachers, who served as key informants. Data were collected through a review of relevant journals and scientific books, as well as semi-structured interviews with teachers. Data were then analyzed using thematic analysis techniques through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the implementation of innovative digital-based learning, such as the use of instructional videos, digital quizzes, educational games, interactive presentations, and project-based learning, can improve the disciplinary character of elementary school students. Improved discipline is evident in aspects of punctuality in attending lessons and submitting assignments, adherence to class rules, and student responsibility in completing tasks assigned by teachers. The findings of this study confirm that innovative learning designed in a structured, engaging manner and accompanied by teacher guidance can be an effective strategy in developing the disciplinary character of elementary school students in the digital era.

Causes of Poisoning and Disinformation Dynamics in Free Nutritious Food Programs in School Environments

This study explores two important issues in the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal Program, namely the potential risk of food poisoning in the school environment, as well as the role of disinformation dynamics and algorithmic bias in shaping public discourse in the digital space. MBG was launched in January 2025 as a strategic policy to reduce stunting rates and improve children's nutritional status. However, its implementation has experienced great difficulties due to the occurrence of cases of food that make people sick and public perceptions that are divided due to the existence of incorrect information circulating. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with case study methods, analyzing policy documents, online media news, and user interaction on social media platforms. The theoretical framework used includes Exposure Selection Theory and the concept of echo chamber space. The results show that weaknesses in food safety governance contribute to the incidence of poisoning, while disinformation amplified by social media algorithms widens negative narratives and increases the polarization of public opinion. These findings show how important it is to improve food safety standards, provide information to the public honestly and openly, ensure algorithms work fairly and accountably, and increase public knowledge about digital technology, so that the MBG program can continue to run smoothly and sustainably.

The Role of Peer and Family Environments in the Formation of Verbal Aggressiveness in Elementary School Students

Verbal aggressiveness in primary school students has developed into an indicator of serious social-emotional deficits, which are influenced by the child's social ecosystem. This study aims to synthesize the latest literature to analyze the mechanism of influence of peer and family environment on the formation of these behaviors. This study uses a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) design with the PRISMA protocol. Data was obtained from searching the Google Scholar, Garuda, and ERIC databases. A total of 20 selected empirical articles, published in the range of 2018–2025, were analyzed using thematic analysis techniques. Findings: The synthesis revealed three main determinant patterns: (1) The peer environment works through the mechanism of imitation and conformity pressure, in which verbal aggressiveness is used by students as a strategy to gain social status or group recognition; (2) The family environment plays a fundamental role in the formation of emotion regulation, where authoritarian parenting and dysfunctional parental communication are the main predictors of aggressive behavior; and (3) There is a moderation interaction, where a harmonious family functions as a protective factor that mitigates the negative impact of peer pressure. Implications: This study concluded that the treatment of verbal aggressiveness could not be done partially. It is recommended that there be a collaborative intervention that integrates parenting programs at home with the development of a positive school climate.

Digital Media Literacy as a 21st Century Basic Skill for Elementary School Students

The rapid development of digital technology in the 21st century era requires the world of education to equip students with various essential skills, one of which is digital media literacy. According to Gilster (1997), digital literacy is the ability to understand and use information from various digital sources effectively, while Hobbs (2010) emphasizes the importance of the ability to access, analyze, evaluate, and produce messages through digital media critically and responsibly. This study aims to analyze the role of digital media literacy as a 21st century basic skill for elementary school students based on literature review. The method used is literature review by examining various scientific sources in the form of national and international journals, reference books, and relevant education policy documents. The results of the study show that digital media literacy contributes significantly to improving students' critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration skills, as well as forming good media character and ethics. Thus, the integration of digital media literacy in learning in elementary schools is an urgent need to prepare an adaptive, critical, and competitive generation in the global era
