Screening Plagiarism and AI Use

All manuscripts submitted to Journal of Elementary Education Innovations (JoEEI) must be free from plagiarism. Authors are strongly encouraged to check the similarity of their manuscripts using plagiarism detection software (e.g., Turnitin) prior to submission.

The journal applies a maximum similarity index of 25%. Manuscripts with a similarity score above this threshold may be returned to the author for revision or may be rejected, depending on the severity and nature of the overlap.

AI-Assisted Writing Policy

Journal of Elementary Education Innovations acknowledges that authors may use AI-based tools (e.g., grammar checking, language polishing, or reference formatting) to support writing. However, the use of AI must not compromise academic integrity.

  • Authors must ensure that the manuscript remains an original scholarly work and that all claims, data, and interpretations are the responsibility of the author(s).
  • AI tools must not be used to fabricate data, results, citations, or references. Any such misconduct will result in rejection and may lead to further editorial action.
  • If AI tools are used for substantial language assistance, authors are encouraged to provide a brief disclosure in the manuscript (e.g., in the Acknowledgment or a note), describing the tool and its purpose.

The editorial team may conduct additional checks when needed to ensure compliance with publication ethics, including the detection of textual overlap and suspicious patterns that indicate unethical practices.
